I have updated the download link the old link is no longer valid due to a security update by google sorry for that

  • Calibre 2011
  • ADS2011 (with dynamic link with cadence )
  • Sonnet 14
and tsmc130nm design kit

Operating System is Centos 6.4

      tsmc have inductors !
      anyway you can go to tsmc directory and reinstall it by writing this command
      perl pdkinstall.pl

      or you can get the complete PDK from here

      it is converted from CDB version , may be you find errors in layers mapping any way it is for educational use

    Hi everyone:

    This virtual machine is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

    I have two problems:
    1) In ADS2011, when I try to set EM setup in Layout, I received the following message: Cannot start the cluster: eesofg2p crashed.
    I tried to make EM simulations in ADS2009 and it worked well.
    But I really want to use ADS2011 because its more intuitive because the user interface.

    2) In Sonnet, when I try to start a new design, I received the message about the licence error.

    Its possible to fix these errors?

      for sonnet error there are 2 possible solutions
      1-when you open the VM choose i moved it NOT I COPY IT
      2-in the virtual machine directory (in windows) find .vmx file then
      remove the following options:
      ethernet[0].generatedAddress
      ethernet[0].addressType
      ethernet[0].generatedAddressOffset
      and Add this
      ethernet0.Address = "The Host ID in sonnet license file"
      ethernet0.addressType = "static"
      and restart the VM it should work fine

    Dear Eslam
    thank for your virtual machines.
    When I want to open my library, it is stated that locked by "nobody" an my files are read-only. I also encountered some problems as listed below.
    in terminal:"session management error,none of the authentication protocols are specified."
    in cadence's main window :"waiting for ipc:0 to initialize" & "unable to connect to library manager after 60 tries" and "ipcAliveprocess connection timeout (host:nobody.invalid)"

      Me neither :/ did you solve the Monte-Carlo issue ? I was only able to run CORNER (TT,SS,FF...) but not mismatch.

      The current version of spice model still doesn't support Monte Carlo simulation.
      The Monte Carlo model will be support in the feature.

    Thanx for the VM, its very helpful. Only that simulations in cadence virtuoso using "tsmc13rf" library gives error due to missing model files. So it would be great if you could provide the model files for same. Thanks in advance !!

    Please Please Please could you upload the VM_RF.rar file on another host. Downloading such a big file from Google Drive is a nightmare. I had many so interruptions and throttling from Google. And you can't even resume the download if it stops. Could you please try using another host? (Google drive really sucks, it's horrible)
